Trish & Dustin's Whimsical Arizona Wedding
There are some brides you meet and instantly know you'll remember them forever. Trish is one of those brides. From the moment we met her at the Arizona Wedding Show, we knew she was going to be a Legacy Bride. Her amazing personality, her love for her family, and her vision for a whimsical, woodsy wedding all made her bridal journey one we were so lucky to be part of.
Today, we're kicking off our Legacy Bride Series by celebrating Trish, her husband Dustin, and the beautiful Arizona wedding day they created together.

From Mutual Friends to "I Do"
Trish and Dustin first met through mutual friends in 2017, at a friend's wedding. Fast forward a few years, and it was their turn to have a wedding day of their own!
On March 17, 2023, the two spent the day together at the Goodguys Car Show. With both of them having the day off, they enjoyed a beautiful St. Patrick's Day together while watching the autocross races from the bleachers.
Trish was having a blast cheering on everyone who beat their personal records, so much so that the DJ noticed her enthusiasm and called her out over the microphone.

That's when Dustin made his move.
He ran toward the booth, and Trish thought he was ditching her! Little did she know, he was actually trying to get there first to tell them he was about to propose.
The races stopped. Dustin pulled Trish out to the starting line, got down on one knee, and asked her to marry him.
And just like that, their next chapter began. 🤍
A Wedding Day Years in the Making
Trish and Dustin said "I do" on March 7, 2026, in Greer, Arizona at the Red Setter, with their reception following at Avery's in Springerville.
For Trish, choosing the location was incredibly personal.
Her family has had property in the White Mountains since before she was born. When she was growing up, they would hike the Little Colorado in Greer, and every time they passed the Red Setter, she would say, "I'm going to get married there."
And she did.

It's hard to imagine a more meaningful place to celebrate a wedding than somewhere that has been part of your family's memories since childhood. Her wedding wasn't just a beautiful Arizona wedding, it was a place filled with history, nostalgia, and so much meaning.
The Morning Before the Magic
One of Trish's favorite memories from her wedding day wasn't necessarily the moment she walked down the aisle. It was the quiet morning she spent surrounded by the people she loved most.
The entire wedding party stayed together in a 10-bedroom cabin with a huge kitchen. Instead of waking up and rushing around trying to get to a venue, everyone had a task. They made pancakes, enjoyed a group breakfast, and simply spent the morning together.
Most importantly, it gave everyone the chance to relax and soak in the day before the craziness began.

Of course, Trish also made sure to add a little good luck to the wedding festivities. The night before the wedding, she buried a hot dog for good luck and good weather! She and her guests couldn't stop laughing about it.
It seemed the hot dog trick worked too, because her special day was as stunning and the weather was beautiful.
THE Dress
As soon as Trish got engaged, she already had a vision for her wedding dress.

She had created a Pinterest board filled with inspiration for the woodsy, whimsical wedding dress she imagined herself wearing. She knew the feeling she wanted, the look she wanted, and the kind of dress that would fit perfectly into her outdoor Arizona wedding.
And then she found it.
Trish said that as soon as she saw the dress at Legacy Bridal Boutique, she knew it was exactly what she needed.
Her gown was the Lizzy by Rebecca Ingram, a gorgeous choice for her outdoor, whimsical wedding vision. The extra glitter underneath the gown created a magical effect as the Arizona sunshine and natural light hit the dress.
As Trish put it, it was everything she had dreamed of. ✨
When You Just Know
Trish had visited other bridal shops before finding her dress. At one point, she thought she had found "the one," a full-neck halter gown that fit the theme she had envisioned.
But the experience didn't feel right.
When Trish came to Legacy, everything changed.
The moment she tried on her wedding gown, she cried. She got goosebumps. She kept wanting to try it on again, and eventually, she didn't want to take it off.
Sometimes finding your wedding dress isn't just about the dress itself. It's about how you feel in it. It's about the experience, the people around you, and that feeling that something just clicks.
For Trish, it was the combination of all those things that made her realize she had found her gown.
Her Legacy Bridal Experience
Trish first met the Legacy Babes at the Arizona Wedding Show, and she immediately felt the difference.
She described her experience as a "full 180" from her previous bridal shopping experience. From the moment she stepped into the Legacy booth, she felt the energy was different.
Just a genuine, "Hey girl, let's be friends. You need a dress, and we have them."
From phone calls and emails to texts and eventually bringing her entire family into the boutique, Trish said the entire experience was a blast.
We loved having her and her crew in the shop, they were all supportive of Trish and all just the nicest people you'll ever meet. It was truly an honor being part of her monumental moment.
Her experience is exactly what we hope every bride feels when she walks through the doors of Legacy Bridal Boutique. Wedding dress shopping should be exciting, personal, and fun. It should be a memory you look back on just as fondly as the wedding day itself.
Trish even joked that she needs to find another event to come back and shop and hang out with us again.
Trish, we'll be waiting. 🤍

Trish's Advice for Future Brides
If there's one thing Trish wants future brides to know, it's this:
Even if you think you know exactly what you want, give yourself the freedom to explore. Try on different silhouettes and styles you'd normally not think to try.
You might walk into a bridal shop convinced you're looking for one specific style and walk out loving something completely different.
Trish is so glad she tried on different wedding dresses and styles. The dress she ultimately chose wasn't just the dress she had imagined, it was the dress that made her feel something.

The Little Details That Made It Theirs
Trish and Dustin's wedding was filled with thoughtful details that made their celebration feel incredibly personal.
They created custom band T-shirts for everyone attending the wedding and even set up each guest's cabin room with gifts when they arrived. It was a fun way to welcome their loved ones and make everyone feel like a special part of the weekend.

They also opted for fake flowers, which made traveling with the arrangements much easier.
For beauty, Trish and her girls handled their own hair and makeup, with @beckyhertz helping with everyone's hair.
Every little detail came together to create a wedding weekend that was relaxed, personal, and completely reflective of Trish and Dustin.
The Honeymoon... or the Adult Version of One
And what happens after the wedding?
Well, Trish and Dustin decided to take the very adult route.
Instead of jetting off immediately after their wedding, they had brand-new windows installed in their home in June.
Because, as Trish put it, they're "too much of adults" for a traditional honeymoon.
But the honeymoon isn't completely off the table! The couple has a trip to Florida planned for October to celebrate Trish's birthday and enjoy a little getaway together.
Honestly, we're calling that a delayed honeymoon—and we fully support it.
Cheers to the Swindles!
Trish and Dustin's wedding day was more than just a beautiful Arizona wedding. It was the culmination of years of memories, family traditions, and a love story that began with mutual friends and led to a proposal at a car show.
It was a wedding surrounded by the people they love, in a place that has held special meaning to Trish since she was a little girl.
And, of course, it was the perfect setting for Trish to wear the wedding dress she had been dreaming of.
We are so grateful that Trish trusted us here at Legacy Bridal Boutique to be part of such a special chapter in her story. From the first "hello" at the Arizona Wedding Show to the moment she said yes to her dress, we loved every minute of being part of her bridal journey.
Congratulations, Trish & Dustin! 🤍✨
